Position: Top international firm seeks to hire an attorney for its corporate energy and projects team in Hong Kong with numerous opportunities for energy deals and projects in Greater China. Candidate will have the opportunity to work with many of the firm"s regional and multinational energy clients with high levels of activity in the regional energy sector.
Company: This leading international law firm has one of the most world-renowned platforms in Energy and natural resource disputes and serves a network of offices in Asia, Europe, Russia, and the Middle East. They have a diverse range of disputes in the mining, oil and gas and power sectors. Legal 500 has named them a Tier 2 firm in Hong Kong for Projects and energy.
Requirements: 3-5 years PQE from HK, UK, Australia, SE Asia or other equivalent common law jurisdiction. Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin. Projects practice of a top-tier firm with prior work experience in mergers and acquisitions and project finance in the energy sector. M&A and Commercial Contracts experience is essential, while Finance experience is advantageous. Experience with Oil and Gas is preferred and mining, power and alternative energy are also relevant skills.
Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, communication, and drafting skills, driven to deliver to clients efficiently and personally, and familiar with legal concepts. International exposure to see issues and and communicate complex legal advice to clients. Familiarity with key drivers of firm and financial performance.
