Partner Opportunity - Shanghai

Position:  This prestigious US-based law firm is looking for two partners in Shanghai.  This very busy office primarily focuses on PE work, however they are open to complementary practice areas including M&A, Fund Formation and IP (life sciences) as they fit within the firm’s aegis.  The office has been very busy with inbound work, and they are looking for a partner to help them develop the outbound side, however, inbound knowledge and business is also desired.  The firm is unique in that it has maintained a focus on both large-market and mid-market clients, and has the ability to provide resources and options for clients in both markets.

Company:  This US-based, AmLaw 100, international law firm's China Practice is focused on international capital markets work, representing issuers and underwriters in equity and debt offerings, and private equity transactions, as well as representing international PE firms in the purchase and sale of Asia-based investments. Clients include private equity funds and multinational corporations in a broad range of industries, and the firm is recommended by Legal 500 for corporate and transactional work in China. The firm was one of the first US-based firms to be approved for an office in Shanghai and has strong relationships there and a strong platform. Requirements:  Bilingual is strongly preferred.  The firm has no fixed minimum for a portable book of business and is willing to consider stellar candidates with small portable books.
