Partner Opportunity - Beijing

Position:  Having operated one of the first foreign firms in Shanghai, this prestigous US firm is considering opening a Beijing office with a partner who has a book of business sufficient to sustain the office.  The firm’s Beijing office is very busy and primarily focuses on PE work, however they are open to complementary practice areas including M&A, Fund Formation and IP (life sciences) as they fit within the firm’s aegis.  This is an excellent opportunity for a stellar attorney to open and run their own show.

Company:  This US-based, AmLaw 100, international law firm's China Practice is interested in expanding into Beijing.  The Shanghai office is very busy and focuses on international capital markets work, representing issuers and underwriters in equity and debt offerings, and private equity transactions, as well as representing international PE firms in the purchase and sale of Asia-based investments. Clients include private equity funds and multinational corporations in a broad range of industries, and the firm is recommended by Legal 500 for corporate and transactional work in China. The firm was one of the first US-based firms to be approved for an office in Shanghai and has strong relationships there and a strong platform.  They are looking at leveraging their China experience into the Beijing market.

Requirements:  The firm prefers a portable book of at least $2.5 million, however is willing to look lower for the right candidate with management experience.  Bilingual is strongly preferred.
