Junior Partner and Associate Opportunities - Beijing and Shanghai

Position: This global law firm is looking for M&A, inbound or outbound investment, dispute resolution and/or IP partners to join  their growing China practice in Beijing and Shanghai.  The firm will also consider elevating a counsel or senior associate to partner as well as a more senior partner with a book of business of at least 1.5m to lead the China practice.  The firm is committed to the growth of their China practice and will match or exceed current compensation levels.    

Company:  This truly international law firm has over 20 offices worldwide was one of the first international law practices to be licensed by the Chinese government for their Shanghai office.  With the recent opening of their Hong Kong and Beijing offices, this firm is looking to grow considerably in the coming years.  While the firm was named Asian-Counsel’s “Firm of the Year” in 2007 for their Shanghai Tax Practice, their Beijing and Hong Kong office focus more on corporate and M&A work, tapping into the firm’s international support and clients.

Requirements:  Ideal candidates will have a book of business of at least 1m, though the firm will consider other partners, counsel or senior associates. Senior partners must possess a book of business of between 3m and 4m. Must have top academics and major law firm experience.  Candidates must be U.S. Qualified.  Chinese language skills, as well as English, French, German and/or Russian, are advantageous, but are not required.
