Mid to Senior-Level DSF, ICM Associate - Hong Kong

Position:  This leading law firm seeks a Mid to Senior-Level Associate for its Derivatives and Structured Finance practice in the Hong Kong Office.

Company: The International Capital Markets Group of this top-tier international firm comprises lawyers based in offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Bangkok, Beijing and Shanghai. Lawyers advise on U.K., Hong Kong, U.S., Singapore, and Thai laws and have established a leading and impressive track record, both throughout Asia and internationally. The team advises on some of the largest and most newsworthy international capital markets transactions, including debt, equity, and equity-linked capital markets transactions, derivatives and structured finance. In Asia, this firm acts as Hong Kong counsel to I.S.D.A. (it also acts as I.S.D.A.'s European and US counsel). Members of the Derivatives Group also sit on the I.S.D.A. Asia-Pacific Asian Steering Committee, the I.S.D.A. Asia Pacific legal sub-committees and the I.S.D.A. Asia Pacific collateral committee.

Requirements:  Ideal candidates will have two to four years of practical experience at a top-tier law firm with a focus on derivatives and structured finance work. Substantial experience in funded and unfunded credit and equity derivatives transactional work, as well as some advisory work, is required. Must be admitted to practice in the U.K., Hong Kong and/or Australia, have strong interpersonal skills, and be willing to work closely with clients on both transactional and advisory cross-border work involving multiple product wrappers (for both retail and institutional investors) and asset classes. Regulatory knowledge and fluency in Mandarin are not required, but are advantageous.
