M&A, PE and Fund Partner - Shanghai

Position: The firm's new Shanghai office is seeking a few top notch partners with substantial experience handling private equity, mergers & acquisitions and/or fund matters.  Will consider partners at all levels.  This leading firm offers one of the strongest private equity platforms in China and extremely healthy partnership.

Company: This elite international firm's Hong Kong office focuses on private equity, mergers & acquisitions and fund work, along with some other corporate and transactional matters, and does a lot of debt financing/leverage finance for investment funds/private equity clients. In recent years, the firm opened offices in Hong Kong and Tokyo and has now expanded into Shanghai in order to further service the needs of their existing clients. Clients include seven of the twenty-five "mega fund" private equity firms (managing capital in excess of $5 billion) and over forty other firms that complete transactions in the $100 million to $1 billion range.  The firm is known for the tight relationships with clients which include Bain, Goldman and Silverlake.  Unlike many firms which service the US needs of such clients, this firm is actually working Asia deals. 

Requirements: This firm focuses on quality and is seeks candidates with practical experience from a top-tier firm and outstanding technical legal skills.  Must also be able to work closely with  clients and have excellent analytical, drafting, organizational and communication skills. Having a portable book of business is advantageous, but not required.  Mandarin language skills preferred but not required.
