Junior/Mid-Level Corporate Lawyer - Tokyo
Position: This global law firm is looking for a junior to mid-level corporate lawyer for its Tokyo office.
Company: This international law firm has had a presence in Japan for over thirty years. In 2008, the firm received the "Law Firm of the Year: Asia" award from Asia PLC Which Lawyer?. Asian Counsel named the Tokyo office "Firm of the Year" in 2007. Working in liaison with a local firm, this firm’s Tokyo office houses a team of reputable bengoshi who understands the domestic regulatory climate and applies their strategies accordingly. In 2008 and 2009, the Tokyo practice has had a significant stream of domestic and cross-border deals.
Requirements: Candidate should be a foreign associate with at least two to three years of practical experience handling corporate law matters. Preferred candidates will be qualified in the U.S., U.K. or Australia and be native English speakers with basic Japanese language skills. Advanced Japanese language skills is advantageous, along with previous work and/or living experience in Japan.
