Business Development Associate - Tokyo

Position: A top-tier international firm seeks a business development associate for its Tokyo office.

Company: This elite law firm consistently ranks at or near the top of the AmLaw 100 rankings of firms by revenue. The firm has an already strong presence in Asia and is continually growing within the region. The Greater China offices has been involved in many high profile transactions and is consistently selected to the top tiers by Asia-Pacific Legal 500, the IFLR, and Chambers Asia for capital markets (debt and equity), M&A/Corporate and projects work in the region.

Requirements: Candidates must be energetic team-players with strong interpersonal skills and the capability to think strategically, influence partners and work tirelessly on business development deals. Candidates must be a graduate or equivalent with a commitment to, or existing, additional professional marketing/business development qualifications (e.g. CIM or other business qualifications). Candidates must also possess several years of relevant business development experience, ideally from within a professional services organization, in addition to possessing strong commercial awareness and enthusiasm to deepen understanding of client base and products. Though speaking Japanese is not a requirement, it is advantageous to those who can speak the language. Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized, have excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities while managing expectations.
